ATI Silencer 5 Rev. 2

I had one of these die on me recently, and I ordered another one. It worked fine, but i noticed some differences from the time i ordered my 1st. One was it came with a thermal pad instead of the cheap compound. The other was that it was much more noisy than the 1st. I can hear the fan motor very pretty well. It sounds like the fan might be hitting something, but after tinkering, i've concluded it was the fan motor itself. Has anyone recently ordered one of these and noticed these changes??

I might try the vf700 now....

edit: The whirring/soft clicking noise, goes away at 100% fan speed

You might have gotten the rev.1 by accident... u can ask a replacement

made sure it was 2, box says 2 as well.

i had two of the same models as well and same revision.. they where slightly different anyway... odd odd... not ur model though

Well the rev.1 has a non shiny backplate and not the 2... just look at that in case the packaging is wrong
