Buying new mouse mx518

Hi all! I would like to buy a new mouse, I've heared great things about the MX518 and I'd like to buy that, is it possible to tweak the mouse from 125 Hz to 1000 Hz and would this be wise?

Or do you recommend me another mouse?
I'm a real gamer and I want the best there is, price doesnt really matter.
I do live in belgium so the newest mice wont be available here in the stores...

Thx!

well if you get a MX518 then you wouldnt need to have 1000hm rate.. as the mouse is allready superfast, but if it isnt enough the drivers that come with the mouse have options 2 speed your mouse up even more

Necrosis will become famous soon enough

Logitech is releasing new mice shortly so if you can wait a couple more weeks you'll get some thing even better.

Or the that particular one cheaper. Already they have lowered the price on the MX1000 by $40.00+. You can bet they will do the same with the MX518.

I still think these mice are over rated and contenu to remmend the MS
intellmouse explorer 5 buttion scroll mice and thier even more awsome
becouse thier like $14 for the OEM version

It nice to for ecample have jump, fire, secondard fire, change weapons, crouch
bound to the mouse can do these thing as fast as I can "think it".

The more expensive mice are "more accurate" but they also don't have as
confortable design. No "tiny" buttions etc... Plus the other mice are useally
like $50 and up...

In any finds a mouse "laid out" the same way let me know of it becouse it with
out a doubt giveing me a MASSIVE advange gameing against anyone not
useing that mouse. Especally since I can program the buttions to do what ever
key I want it to do... But then again gameing is what I do. If you do alot of cad
or graphics the logitec mouse would be way better. The MS mouse isn't that pretty
either but I prefer function over looks. Also like my hand to me coferable since I do
spend alot of time on my coputer and other mise I just don't like the feel of as well.
(But maybe I'm just picky)

-That just my two cents

that last link was very handy thx allot, A friend of mine bought that mouse today and he said such good thing about it, Se I ordered it today (my local store didnt have it... And its the biggest most known store in Kapellen, the cyberdrome plaza, I live in belgium ^^)

So thx allot ppl! I know I'm gonna buy that mouse :d

Now some more questions :d
My friend says the mouse moves to fast or smooth or something at 1600 DPI and he changed it to 400 :s I dont think thats wise. If I encounter that problem should I just leave it on 1600 and maybe get used to it? I wanna know whats best to do

Also does the 1000 Hz tweak work with the MX518?
I heared that some1 did it and he got around 700 Hz, what should I do then?
Should I leave it on 700 or should I lower it to a more constant 500?
Or should I stop bothering about this minor detail cuz evert1 knows the mx518 works at 1000 Hz (exept me :d)

Thx allot ppl!
