Can't wait to play this game. Hopefully it'll be good and not too taxing on my 9800 pro. Might have to get a x850xt sooner than later if it's a resource hog

ohhhh it is a resource hog. the public beta ran like a dog on my system.
to illustrate my point, heres some screens i took. in game settings were
2xAA, 1024x768, volumetric light off soft shadows off, dynamic light med, physics low, monitor res medium (the video quality that is displayed on ingame monitors) water quality low. everything else was either on, or at max.
i just hope it runs better in the final build. although i will say that while it may have been a low fps, it seemd pretty smooth. dont know if they had low level motion blurring or not.

the screens dont do the game justice. the game looks amazing in motion.
its alot like doom3. it only looks ok in screens, but once it gets rolling and all the effects are going on, it looks amazing.

Also note that they 'atleast said' that the beta experiance went really well and they made changes as needed. This is one of the first games that run a BUILT IN BENCHMARK to tell you exactly WTH is going on and you get to decide if you are ok with it. It makes suggestions that dont useually suck and even though the multiplayer was a bit bland and unbalanced, ive seen that they are atleast willing to work with the community and they have a fourm that they are active on even right now.
Also- it supports PPU and the new EAX5.0 right? No mention on 64bit ither? That is definatly a duel core game.

this game is gunna be awsome no matter what flaws it may have. But it is only worth buying if your comp can actually run it. Chances are mine can't. Hopefully this demo doesn't mees up my comp like the BF 2 one. Damn BF 2 to hell

... My 9800 Pro can run the beta at 1024x768 almost everything on high (volumemetric lighting on med). Though there seems to be mixed results out there. So, uh, hopefully you are one of the unlucky ones. Perhaps the x800 has another game that runs bad on it based on another-user because I have a crappier video card and system overall. What MB are you running Another-user?
It looks a bit better than chaos theroy. The main thing is its fast. I like to think of it as D3 but faster.

The ingame physics are nice, I don't think its anything special over the Source engine though... the gameplay in the open beta (MP) was kinda silly though, it gives you the illusion it will be squad based... but its total free-for-all when it came to actully fighting. The way the maps are designed dident help either...

F.E.A.R Friday as VU. called it, hehe I find that pretty witty and can't wait to try it out as well. I truly hope the game's atmosphere and story are as captivating as the movies made it seem!
