i just told u that 'cause most of my friends use to call me that way, it's my nick that gave the name to the radio.
If u prefer call me Ross, it's my real name ---> Rossano Dembech (i doesn't sounds italian but it's just my name)

Yes, I know some new bands from a friend of my wife, so check the net for "Client", "I am X", "Fisherspooner" and "Artist unknown" (no commercial guys, I only like them), you may like them too .
And yes, I heard your stuff, currently I ´ve just saved deepblue4 on my disk to give you a detailed feedback later. I´m really looking forward what comes next, maybe some stuff for the sampler .

the structure and the song sound good i would get some better drum samples the piano needs to be a little louder and the synth sounds very muffled maybe too much fx checked out bumble bee too very good cheers

Thanks for that, interesting to hear different viewpoints, thats good.
i think i will keep the drums as they are as i kind of like them like that... sparse and wierd!
the pads... yeah they are fx'd alot. i did that to make them breathe you can hear them oscillate, i like that too, but yeah maybe could be brighter in the mix!
thanx for your comments, its good to get feedback always!
the 'bumblebee' and '2001' tracks are my live band (I'm the drummer) we play for fun only!
try 'asynthomania', my latest piece, a great improvement i think re mix etc? what do you think?

i did that reverb cutoff on purpose, im english and that kind of stuff is done regularly here to create that kind of old/retro/imperfect feel (like an old record). (listen to norman cook or moby). i quite like the effect it gives and its done on an offbeat in time with the tempo.
but be interested to know if anyone else gets annoyed by it? let us know.
trev
ps - maddog, have you listened to any others?
maddog- ive listening to your stuff, just havent posted yet as theres a few songs to go thro and i want to isten more than once really, will give you some feedback when i can,

Oh, not sure how I missed the response to my response... er you know what I mean.. hehe
I did listen to others songs also, and you probably figured it out by now the genre is different from what I typically am in to. The reverb thing is (obviously) an effect Im not familiar with... sorry didn't mean to be insulting or anything, just my honest opinion.
I try very hard to be 'objective' when listening to others work in a different genre than what Im into. I try to take more of a 'techical look' at it. And I guess that effect you describe would fall more as a 'taste' than technical.
But, that effect, intended ot not, I cant say I like - sorry

Hey Trev,
Just listened to "Always On my Mind".
Tell me that is you doing the lead vocals.
Anyway, ..Love that male voice and the melancholic song!
Nice grand piano part too.
/Lex.
PS:
Personaly I would keep the lead vocal centered at all time
and stereo/pan/doubling the fx voices and chorus lines instead.
(just a suggestion though)

hey lex!!!
hi lex,
you're not normally in these parts of the woods!!!
nice to 'see' you here.
thanx for your positive comments, yeah im pleased with it, specially the piano which i put loads of reverb etc on to make it BIG.
im afraid the vocals were done by a close friend of mine (simon) who has a great voice!! (i can sing but its not outstanding and wouldnt enrich the song well enough!!!) everything else was me though.. ill think about the vocals, i think i will do that. we plan to do the vocals again anyway as it could be better so we'll do your suggestions then
im glad you liked it lex.. ive never heard a full song of yours, just tasters of demos and clips etc... any chance of you putting some up here?
just to add....youre a VERY valued member of this forum... but im sure you know that!!! you helped me so much in my first grapplings of this kx driver and it was very much appreciated. thnx

Yes you are right, I normaly don't comment in this
section, but in this case I couldn't resist to compliment on
the song and the vocals.

I doubt it.
I simply don't have enough time to write music and do computer programming the same time.
(if either result has to be any good that is)

Thx, but,..Thank you too!
Don't forget that in essence it's those few kX regulars such as yourself
that keep the kX community/project alive.
Cheers,

Hi Trev,
Just noticed you've changed the vocal's stereo placement in "Always On My Mind" as discussed.
Much better, more natural, balanced etc.
Truly a Great Song!!!
Cheers,
/Lex.

Hi Trev again...
Yes, I´m late, but now I found some time and a broadband-connection to the net to put my ears into your audio material. Finally I´m very impressed of your songs and their audible quality! Needless to say that I made a personal copy of the most tracks , of course to show them to my wife. I think I will send you a special mail with some comments if I find some more time to hear intensively.
Greetings!

So I would like to give you the tip to burn some of your tracks on some CDs and give them away to your friends or in a pub or so, to get more feedback that may encourage you to invest more time in making music and finally making money
