Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Owners New Beta Bios
Beta bios 1010.001 is now available from the Asus FTP site: ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/s...N-SLI%20Deluxe/
No ideas as to what's changed since as I write this it's not up on the Asus webbie yet. Hopefully they've fixed the Asus Probe problems that 1008 and 1009.002 beta introduced.

Me too. I hust hope my Asus Probe works again. The problem they introduced caused the same problem in a couple of other apps I use too for some reason. Going back to an older bios didnt fix it.

I try first without it to see how my hardware is being recognized, then I enable it just because it doesn't harm nor slow down much, and it's cool tho

1009.002 broke Asus Probe for me and going back to 1008 final didnt fix the problem. Was hoping 1010 would fix it, now the smegger has dissapeared!
Oh and I'm with Zardon, the first thing that goes is that damned annoying Boot Logo!

This is my first motherboard during my 12years computer career which has this "bootlogo", so I haven't got fed up with it, but okay.. I'm not using it for example now

Yep. my probe is broken too (I'm talking about the software you filthy minded people ).
I have the 1009-2's. I managed to grab the 10.10, but (here goes) I can't seem to install it. I use Asus update, click update from file, and I get all these error screens
- hang on, cancel my last - I just gave it another shot so I could tell you what the errors were, and it worked.
I'll be right back to tell you if it fixes probe.

Great pigdog.
*hopes*
I expect most people are hoping they solve the 1T memory timing issues some are having.
Any new features you notice?

All the people we abducted we dropped off in Australia after performing experiments on them.

Still no joy on the probe front. Even tried a uninstall, downloaded the most recent version of probe from Asus, and re-installed - no, actually I didn't re-install.
I get the first couple of splash screens on the install, click install to default directory, and the program just shuts itself off. Weird.
Anyway, I have to go to rugby training now, so I'll have to test the new bios later. Certainly no problems so far though.
I'll get back to you.
cheers

I didn't see the 2 previous posts till now.
When I get back home tonight, I promise I'll get my probe working properly, and then I my have to warp over to Essex and give some payback for all the sore- arsed( ) Aussies down here

A fix for the PC Probe Problems. I tried it last night and it works exactly as this guys says it would. I used 1010.001 beta too.

I just wanted to add that I found another way to fix the asus probe issue. It appars that asus pc probe II works with our motherboard. bios 1008 broke asus probe fore me (I had 1002 previously... just got my mobo a couple weeks ago) and in searching for possible fixes I found that some people had tried probe II. it is meant for the new intel boards but it appers to work with the A8N-SLI Deluxe, at least it did for mine.

One more thing, I forgot to note where I got the download for Asus Probe II from... but I just went through my history and found it. This link should work.
ftp://ftp1.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/mb/s...MX/PROBEII.zip
