some wal-mart cheapo Logitech mouse I got 3 years back. It's laser and corded. Not an MX not even 1337. Think it cost me $15. I play CS 1.6 and was in cal-im with it and when I go to LAN parties I get laughed @ because I own with it. Who cares... a mouse is a mouse.

You guys are weak. (j/k) I use an optical wireless A4Tech!!! Don't know the exact model, but it's pretty good. FPS included.
I'd get an MX518, but Logitechs are pretty expensive over here (100+ USD for the MX1000) and the 518 is not available yet

I got a Razer Diamondback with the eXactMat + wrist rest. 1600dpi of super-awsome-mouse-goodness! I love the on-the-fly sensitivity changing feature, but I wish it had more of a range of senstitivity, and that the X and Y sensitivity values would stay porportional to each other. But this mouse is the best I've ever used!

I have now replaced my Logitech MX 1000 to the MX518.
Yes...I've changed into a lower modell, but the wireless is not for me. I did not like the latency and the feeling that the mouse was a little after my moves.
The MX518 is a quite nice mouse, although I've only been using it for about half an hour so...
problems might pop-up.

have had logitech mouses for long time.got used to cordless, would't go back to corded,at moment have both mx700 and mx1000 which l consider one of the best .if l did go corded ,would go with 518,but at moment l consider mx1000 the best for pc work and gaming

USB polling rate can be turned up to at least 500 Hz on most computers, 1000 Hz if you're lucky.
I own all the current high-end mouses on my various machines (MX518, MX1000, Diamondback, only Intellimouse 3.0 though)... funny thing is, I mostly use an older Razer 2100 dpi ball mouse for gaming.
Am thinking of picking up a trackball sometime, I can't game with them, but find them real comfortable for other work.

Genica! GN-110 two button with button/scroll wheel. If ordered alone, the shipping costs more than the mouse.

I finally ordered a logitec mx518, and should be getting it in a few days. One thing about Logitec, their customer support is awsome.
My old mx310's usb cable stopped working last week, I called them up, explaned the problem, and on thursday I got a new mx310 in the mail !!
now I have an unopened spare mx310, because I am getting a mx518 !

I ended up upgrading my MX700 for a MX1000 and I can honestly say it was well worth it. Best mouse I have ever owned.

I recently went from an intelimouse 4.0 to a mx510, there are things I miss from the intellimouse, but over all I'm happy, I wish the 510 was a bit taller like the ms one, and the tilt wheel on the ms one was an awesome feature for working on his res pictures, but I think i like the mx 510 more, but both rock

i ended up getting a logitech G5 and oh gee i love it.got some good feet for it and have the weights set up just right and my frag level went up by atleast 20%.i did have the drivers installed when i first got it because 2000dpi was just to fast so i made a custom dpi of 1800 until i got used to it.now i run constent 2000dpi and no need for the drivers.they are kinda bloated anyhow and use about 10mb of resources to run in the background.also i could never quite get the game detection system down and gave up and that is all the drivers are really good for.even without the drivers you can set 2000,800,and 400 dpi.i really recommend this mouse to anybody and is well worth the price.later

I recently switched from my Microsoft IntelliMouse and got a Logitech G5, and I'm loving it, now all there is to do is waste my money on a few extra keys and an LCD screen (G15 Keyboard) .

Sorry for bumping the thread...
I have a MX1000 Laser, but I find the battery life very disappointing. I usually find the battery lasts 2 days if I'm lucky, and I haven't played any games with it recently. After the MS Intellimouse wireless I had, which used one set of battries for a couple of months of intensive gaming, the MX1000 is a bit disappointing in the battery life department, but it is the most comfortable and fastest mouse I have ever used.
For the MMORPGs I play it is great, although I haven't played a FPS in donkies years. I think the last FPS I played was C&C Renegade...
