I too like it. Especially in the middle/end with the low synth-bass lines...those are awesome.

Good! I'd like the end...space beats....
I like playing RTS game; when I listen to this kind of disco, I feel I'm in battle.

When I first saw the thread I thought it was under Heavenly Visions, I thought maybe you got your butt kicked and wanted us to see the brutality
Well, I couldnt listen to it more than 2 or 3 times, the songs too long and not my style.
Because Im not the biggest fan of techno dont take anything I say in offense its just how i feel
Love the beat and the overall feel for a techno song
I found myself tapping my foot/fingers to the beat repeatedly throughout the song
Each portion kinda seems like a different scene in a movie
9.2 out of 10
Great composition DJ Stick keep up the good work
oh yes, i take back saying it was too long, im really enjoying this song gonna pass it on to my uncle and my girlfriend's stepmom they are closet techno fr34kz

After browsing OCRemix for some stuff to download, I decided to download this.
I started to like it after the 2:00 minute mark. I think the song should start there, but that's just me.
I really like the 4:18 mark and beyond.
You've added some nice twists to some classic techno "tricks" I've heard in the past.
Overall, I thought it was above average. 7.5/10. It's nothing that really stood out to me, but you've got some great techniques in there. The high use of bass was a bit too much for me, but that's more of personal preference. When I heard your song, all I could think of is this "DJ Siaye - Chaos Theory" track which is a remix of a Silent Hill track. (It's 9:49 worth of bliss to me) I thought it was going to be something along those lines. So the expectation was there, but since it wasn't fulfilled, I probably enjoyed it less.
Don't let my comments dishearten. (You probably should just ignore it cuz I don't know what I'm talking about ) I look forward to other works from you though.

Cool tune. I like the name. Sounds like you awoke amidst a potent wet dream and just had to finish it off
Curious to know much much you used KX for this tune. I know this thread was moved here and not takin the piss or anything but is it KX powered coz u used KX asio or are there soundfonts/KX fx/synths ect involved?
Nice work all the same

DJ_Stick:
Sorry, I just noticed this tune today. I really know very little about Techno, but I went into clubs that played Techno while I was in the military, and this sounds like the Techno they played. So, I guess youre up there with the big boys.

I listened to it in a loop for at least an hour while doing other stuff. I did not get on my nerve as some other music does after a few listening. I also did not lose concentration. I tend to cut the music while reading or coding because I can't correctly concentrate. I did not need to with your song.
At first I did not really like it. I thought it was not evolving fast enough. But after some time, I got into the beat. It's the kind of song where you feel like moving in rythm with the music.
Your song is good but it does not exactly fall into the music style I like the most so I still can't say that it's perfect but it is very good. It sounds professional.
I prefer faster electronic music with complex evolution. On the metal side, I tend to like power metal because I like the sound of complex music (the harder it seems to be to play, the better it sounds) and they mix guitar , organ, harpsichord and other instruments you don't usually hear together.
I usually don't like classic but I like to listen to very good violin solos played by genius. Fast and complex. That appeals to me even in a genre that I usually don't like.
Maybe a faster tempo does not fit with your style but you could experiment and see if you like doing music faster and more complex music. You have a lot of potential. I know that I would do far worse than you if I were to write a song.
Can you explain how you do such a song. I would be interested in knowing how you do it out of curiosity.

umm it's kinda hard to explain… usually i just start out with experimenting with some sounds until i find something i like (usually the bass-line or the rhythm), and then i try to find a lead that matchs it, with this track i went through three different lead melody/instrument combos until i stayed with this one
then i start to work back, building up an intro, and then fill out with the drums to create a build up.
i usually go through 5 or 6 mixes until i'm happy with it, then i'll mix down to two tracks and distribute on the net

yes i was using kX asio, aswell as the kX 10 band EQ to roughly simulate consumer grade speakers so i could hear the track as others may
also no style, i take in feedback whether it be negative or positive, opinionated or not, as it can all help me improve on my composition skills

now i know why youre called d.j!
great piece of techno, well put together, it develops really well and never stands still which is good....and the drums are cool and nice sounding..love the snare, i can tell you spent some time working them out (or maybe you didnt!?).
the mix is good too, every instrument placed well in the mix, well done. very pro! something i'm crap at!!!
I'm not the best techno fan, but really appreciated it. i could see this being well received in the clubs!

ps-referring to the previous quote:" I like the name. Sounds like you awoke amidst a potent wet dream and just had to finish it off" this relates well to your name too 'dj stick', is there an unintentional pun somewhere?? lol

Sounds good. I am not really into techno either, but I can picture this be played in a dance club (and it probably would sound much better on a club's sound system, than my speakers (especially the heavy drums)). It is not something that I would probably listen to under normal circumstances (just because techno is not my thing), but I think it would be good as background music to listen to while I am doing other things, and I could also see it used as a track for a video game. If you have anything heavier, maybe industrial style stuff, I would be interested in hearing it.
