The voice is good but there is something slightly bothering me. It seems you used some kind of panning filter on the voice. The voice keeps on bouncing left to right to left to right, etc... I find it annoying because it feels like the voice is moving constantly in a non natural way. I can't place in space the singer like I usually can. You know when you listen to music using speakers you feel like the person singing is in your room in front of you. The voice can be panned slowly to a side and it will feel like the singer is walking to the side. Here it feels like this singer voice is moving too fast to be a person walking or moving around.
I'm in no way a professionnal critic and I'm telling you this to help you improve. Maybe you did not notice because it is your work. Listen to your song again keeping in mind what I said about the voice panning effect and tell me how it sounds to you. Apart from that it is really well done. Nice and professionnal. Keep up the good work. |

Well, I'll tell you why it sounds like that. Trere are two different paths with voice placed apart on panorama.

I've litened to it again and I've noticed it now. It sounds like there are two voices placed apart and it's not a voice moving around. I guess my ears are not used to hearing this effect. I would not have made this listening error if the voices placed apart were differents (two different singers). You know, if you listen to a person singing it makes sense to hear the voice come from one direction. If there are two singers it makes sense to hear the voices from different directions. But if you hear the voice of a single singer coming from two different directions it does not make sense to the brain. Because the brain thinks it is impossible for the same voice to come from two directions, it tries to fix the voice in a single place but it is not possible because it comes from two directions. You then hear the two voices as a single voice moving left right fast because the brain thinks that it makes more sense.
I think it may be something like that. |
