EEK! Bouncy pop and electronics

Hi all!
I've been making music for some years now, mostly very bouncy and happy tunes with focus on good and catchy melodies.

I thought I should share some of my music, and hopefully get some feedback on my works.
Feel free to listen and maybe even comment...
Go here and use the link "sounds".

Songs 1,3,4 and 5 are made using the KX drivers together with Cubase VST/32 and VSTi's. No external synths are used.

hi again barlon!!
thanx for help on synths earlier, got some good stuff.
listened to some of your music. its always difficult to hear others music cos we all have different personal tastes, so some stuff i may not like cos of that. but i always appreciate constructive feedback, and i guess you would feel the same! so heres some constructive feedback.

overall, good solid tracks, well mixed, good use of sounds and instruments, some nice melodies and by the way nice website too!! great to hear some good rounded stuff by another musician, well done!

some minor stuff on 3 of the songs, may help may not!!

brave new world.... great! well done, nice mix, can hear all the instruments- well seperated out, nice poppy tune, catchy melody- one thing i'm crap at (melodies and lyrics!!). a little depeche mode/ new ordery- thats a big compliment by the way!
one thing to improve it? vox FX a bit out of date now (i know it was in in 2003), could get rid of it potentially to keep it up to date?

never wanted you to cry... this is my personal taste but didnt hit me loads but again really well put together. My mixing skills are appalling, so taking that into account , this mix could be wider i think? not sure how, i have the same probs with mixes and how to make them sound panned, seperated and wide ? maybe pad lower in volume and streod out big time would help???

dictorobototbotor ( oops-or something... lol!) really like the arpegio with the bass, and overall sound, well mixed and nice tune. the tune doesnt change too much though so its easy to switch off, after a bit. so could be even greater with a bit more variation, some kind of build up or mid 8 or something ( again something i tend to get stuck with too! ) maybe you are ok with it as it is though, and thats cool!!

hope this helps and well done for a good solid few tracks. have you got anywhere with getting them out into the public? I'll put some of my stuff onto a website asap so you can give us some help on my stuff, be appreciated! i always get my feedback from friends and they always say its great (what else could they say!), but could do wth some HONEST feedback really!!
will let you know

What can I say? Thank's man! This is the kind of feedback you don't get every day!
About Brave new... thanks, and yes, I know. The whole song actually started out as an experiment with the voice fx and at the time I think it was already a little bit old, but still I wanted to try. All data for the song is gone, so if I'm going to re-record it I'd have to make a cover version of the original song, something I'm too lazy to do.

Never wanted.. I don't like the mixing myself, but mostly when it comes to the vocals. Neither mixing or fx sounds very good to me. I'll see what I can do about it.

Dicto... Personal favourite. The plan was to make it monoton, but maybe you're right... again, I'll look into it..

Will check out your tunes as well.. prepare!

cool, you always feel a bit vulnerable giving feedback, cos youre never sure whether people can handle it. we can all get a bit overprotective with our music sometimes!! look forward to a good hard critic on my stuff. i am looking to buy webspace so i can paste them up there... so will let you know asap. if youre broadband i could always send you a couple of mp3's? my music is all very different and eclectic so youll probs hate some and like others!!!!

I've managed to get one song to be used by Channel 4( english t.v channel) which was good and brought in a bit of xtra money!!. very proud of thst achievement. otherwise its just floating around with friends and stuff|! but thats cool, i just enjoy creating really.
anyway cheers.
speak soon

Try www.purevolume.com, the free website allows 3 songs, more for paid service.

True... but i think also depends on how you give the feedback..

I have semi-broadband... or, the isp call it broadband, I don't... So just let me know when you have something up!

Nice to hear about Ch4... that's cool!
And I agree with you, the creative process (no pun intended) is the most enjoyable..

I think http://www.mp3.com.au/ offers something similar, and I think it's possible to upload even more songs for free. I use(d) it and like(d) it..
