No, ive spent enough money!...and having a few problems with my pc currently.
just can't quite figure out if it's memory(all memory tests show no faults) or motherboard related so may end up needing to spend a little more on this one.but will be cheaper than swapping to pci-e and a new motherboard.

I'm not sure. I want to buy a new pc this year. But I'm not sure if I should. It depends on the new products that come out (or not ofcourse) this year.

I'm not quite sure if I'll have enough money although I wouldn't mind upgrading to one of those Xpress chipsets with a Winchester Athlon 64

Definatly not. I don't plan to move past my 754 socket and 9800 pro until I can snag something dual core..Might..might might might upgrade the 9800 to an x800pro if BF2 isn't too doable on this current card, but that's all I'm going to do..

I'm unsure as to the immediate benefits up to now (other than the fastest GPU cores are now only PCIe at the moment).
Where're all the PCIe soundcards etc?

Going to change over to an Athlon 64 (939-pin) and that is going to cost me more than enough changing my video card with that in my current situation is to much for me right now... Maybe in the second half of this year but I doubt it.

No, I just spent money on a new rig. was cheaper sticking to agp than moving to pci-e. this rig should last me at least 2yrs. I do need to upgrade my vid card, but maybe later this year if i can afford it...

maybe... not really sure I'm going to upgrade my motherboard/cpu before my video card though... so it might actually go well into next year!

my system is more than fast enough for at least another year. then hopefully i can get a 3.2 extreme & run it up to 3.9 or more. wich will be good for another year.
after that my mb loses its upgrade path & it will be time. pcie should be very mature by then as should sli.
hell could have cell/xdr by then

Im running an Athlon64 3500 on a MSI Neo2. There's really no reason to upgrade that.
But if i see an opportunity to sell / trade my mobo for a decent amount, i just might ... :P
