nforce4 conflicts woth ati cards?

i was thinking of buying a athlon64 3500+ but i wanted a pci express chipset since i want to get a x800xl too. buit the only chipset i can find for sale is the nforce4 which i heard somewhere has problems not performing up to par with ati cards. is this true? or has anyone else seen a different pci express chipset for slase yet? like the via k8t890 or radeon xpress 200? if you could direct me in its direction it would be appreciated. thanks.

Nforce3 (all) is optumized for nvidia cards...
But they don't hamper ATI's performance any....

Nforce4 is so highly optumized for nvidia cards it hampers
performance on ATI cards

KT890/X200 not rolling out yet......

But also as it stands KT800 and Nforce3 ultra are slightly faster then Nforce4 / KT890 but they new chipsets are more feature rich like SATA2 etc...
