DriverHeaven Mobility Modder V2.1
Patje has been hard at work and our latest Mobility modding tool is now available for download. This supports all currently released ATI drivers.
This program modifies certain files from the catalyst set so you can install the latest catalyst set on your laptop.
Ati changed a few lines in their inf's and the previous modtool's could not handle that. Today that is fixed.
Supported cards:
- Mobility Radeon 9600
- Mobility Radeon 9700
- Mobility Radeon 9800
- Mobility Fire GL 9000
- Mobility Radeon 9000
- Mobility Radeon 9200
- Radeon Mobility
- Radeon Mobility 7500
- Radeon Mobility 7800 GL
- IGP 340M /345M
- IGP 320M
- ATI MOBILITY FIRE GL T2

Awsome! Thanks patje.
Now the question: Does this do any better patching job than how I just edit the inf file?
If it does, then I guess I will reinstal using this modder, if not then my laziness will take over.

Hit control refresh on patjes page to force your machine to grab the newest HTML page from the driverheaven server. you or your ISP is caching an old version of the HTML page.

Glad ya'll seem to like it
I did add that custom resolution for the M10 cards. So if you are still experiencing problems let me know what card you have so I can check it out.
Thanx XClaude for that precious piece of info

Hi Patje, before I clicked your button to go ahead with the install (which works for me now, great going!) I checked the inf file and the custom resolution wasn't in there. I went ahead and added it at the same place but was I not suppose to do that? Is it listed somewhere else in the inf file now?
Thanks for a great job on the tool!

Anyone know if 1400x1050 is a valid resolution now? I had problems with that from 4.9 on (I think 4.8 was the last time mobility modder worked successfully).

Same here. 1280x800 is not listed under [ati2mtag_M10_SoftwareDeviceSettings]
HKR,, DALNonStandardModesBCD1,
There is a reference to it in the program under
ExtEvent_EnablePolling
DALNonStandardModesBCD2 and the only reference of it that I could tell
