Pissed *x800xt Volt Mod*

Hi all,

I'd just like to know if any of you have successfully done a pencil volt mod on an X800 XT PE?
If so, how did you do it, and to what voltage was it done?

I have a His IceQii X800XT PE and am currently stuck at 550 maximum core speed and 570 maximum mem speed when overclocking and am trying to get over this apparent wall.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and have a nice day!

You guys never cease to amaze me. YOu have a state-of-the-art video card, which is the fastest thing out there, and risk it all to get an extra 5 FPS? Get a grip guys, I like speed as much as anybody else but I'm not ready to blow up a $500 card for an extra 10 MHz.

And I think what bugs the crap out of me more is the fact that you'd probably RMA the card because of your stupidity, which in the end will make the price of this hardware go higher. RMAing a card you purposely fried is like insurance fraud IMO.

these cards are way fast... I get your point Rvachon, but some of us just enjoy modding.. Yeah,,, in reality risking frying your card for 10mhz is not worth it.. but die hard modders with huge balls will do it regardless.. like me...

My case is too small and cramped that I'm having difficulty fitting the voltmeter prong inside to check the voltage. Can I pull the card out of the AGP slot (though power still connected to the card) and test the voltage that way?
Just want to check first before I do anything I'll regret later on
