OK - who checked the "over $10,000" category and what on earth did you buy?
For me I spent a over $1000 upgrading my rig. New mobo, RAM, CPU, PSU and case.

Before I vote on this poll; is this only for our main rig, or for all of our systems? Since I've spent way more if you count my other computers, and networking gear, than if I only count my main rig.

I think I'm in the $4001-$10000 category.... let's see.... past year...
(making a list out of curiosity)
thermaltake xaser 3 + antec psu + barton 2800 oem + abit nf7-s rev 2 - 380 GBP
Logitech MX Deskset - 100
120GB Maxtor - 65
2x raptors - 130
NEC ND2500A - 70
Akasa PSU - 70
Thermaltake Tsunami - 90
Logitech Z2200 - 150
X800pro - 300
x800xt pe - 400
2GB Corsair XL - 450
Abit IC7 Max 3 - 130
3.2 Northy - 185
watercooling - 300
neons + fans - 40
sp-97 - 40
ti 4200 - 35
a64 3000 - 90
icemat - 20
various mice - 50
total = 3095GBP = $5571
new laptop - 1060
total 2 = 4155GBP = $7479
That's a shit load of money! lmfao!
Plus there's going to be this LGA775 stuff I'll be buying - another 1500GBPs worth of stuff... I don't know where I got it all from! lol... I think it's more than a hobby - it's an addiction!
I'm positive I've left out some big things.... I just can't remember!
There's loads of software etc too
hmmm... I wonder if minidisc players and mp3 players count... they could count as peripherals... if so - there's 350GBP worth of those - sony MZN10 and Creative Muvo 2 4GB
Plus I left out router + WAP + cables = 120GBP
That takes the total up to 4625GBP.... holy crap! lmao

rofl...yeah... 30quid a day + 1 or two networking jobs (150quid a shot - i like them ), and I've only been working since late october last year... until the end of July... and I won't be working again until october/november time unless I move over to PCWorld where there is more money + more work... because I am actually out of work at the current time - they're very short on money - I'll get a reference and look into part time work @ PCWorld - finally - if I end up being a salesman instead of a technician - they'll be someone giving genuine advise at PCWorld!

I'd say I spent about $1200 this year myself on SATA HDD, an X800, MX510 mouse, DVDBurner, soundcard etc... If we count in what I spent on both my own rig, my gf's(I maintain that) and our server... Maybe about $1800

I would say I spent about 2000 on my computer so far this year (that is Canadian money ) that includes my processor, zalman fan, radeon 9800 xt, a couple of SATA hard drives, a dvd burner, a soundblaster audigy2, a Logiteck MX310 mouse, and a new keyboard. plus all of the money I spent on software?
lol, that's more than I use to spend on smokes! (but not by much, I am glad I quit!!)

More than $500 for me- If I count the PC I bought and build for my sister it would go to way more than $1,000- If I count the $800 Laptop and home networking crap I bought for my dad a few months ago it would probably go over $2000... but that wasn't my money, so I voted $500 to $1000.
If I had a damn job it would go to over $2000 just for me I am sure, if not more.

i said $1,000-$2,000. I got me my specs u guys see on my sig for an even $1,000; and i've spent more money since then on odds and ends. i'm prolly around $1,500 on my current system. But if i were to count everything, i'd probably be around like $5,000 in computer ish.
