IamLakota is an unknown quantity at this point

Just another FPS only supposed to run better on Ati cards, yeah yeah yeah, measured the dust on my voucher today just over 1 inch.

I am looking forward to it, but am worried that it will just be another fps. Also the bits I have seen are not near as awsome as farcry visually. The outdoor scenes in farcry are lush and tropical, hl2 looks dreary and cold. I get enough of winter as it is.

No but it doesn't play in the tropics does it
Anyway HL1 proofed that it isn't about beautiful graphics (is nice though) but more about gameplay, singleplay I mean.. in multiplay who has time to look at the graphics?, Farcry looks very good, but it never dragged me in like HL1 played it over and over again and never got bored.
For me HL1 and CoD are the only worth my while games to play more that once.
And looking at the HL2 Ravenholm movie, I just can't wait to get HL2 ASAP

for some reason i could never get into farcry. it seems like a good game, and the graphics are indeed very nice... it just didn't grab my attention enough for me to play it. i didn't even get through the beginning of the demo, so of course i never bothered actually buying the full version, heh.

maybe i will get fc and play it after beating hl2/doom3. i don't think i'll ever beat d3 though, i've lost interest in it.

Maybe you should take up golf? FarCry is one of the best FPS games ever made- go play it on the most difficult level and you will see why.

Like you I loved Call of Duty, great game. You are truly missing out on a wonderful FPS in Farcry. Its 100x the game Doom3 is.

I'm in no hurry, I just got the first Half-Life, and am playing that for the first time, and have lots of other games, and non-gaming related things to keep me occupied... I'll probably wait for the price to drop, and any expansions to get bundled together with it.

I can't wait for this game. I haven't felt like I did the first time I played HL. I wanted to keep progressing so badly. I was completely caught up into what was going to happen next. It was so cool when the government sent the marines in to clean up the mess.

i put little emphasis on the difficulty level. i like to play the game not only for the challenge, but for the entertainment of the plot. IMO playing a good rich in plot video game is about 20x better than any movie ever, but nearly equally long, lol.

IMO making the enemies more difficult to kill adds nothing to the game at all. i'm all about the riddles and logical sequences. probably why resident evil 2 was probably the best game i've ever played. it's all about the riddles, clues, etc.

i actually desire a more RPG style plot than FPS's, but i hate rpg's. i just don't feel nearly as involved with them. i did recently play zelda 4 swords with 3 of my friends and had a blast though. one of the most inventive games ever with the use of the consoles and the team play... interesting how they made the players help each other out but fight each other at the same time.

final fantasy has never grabbed my attention at all. nor did marrowind. i guess my taste of games is strange *shrugs*. i have heard a lot of good stuff about farcry though, i will try and play it through sometime .

edit: i also loved operation flashpoint, ghost recon, and splinter cell. for some reason or another i can really get into those games, lol.

I actually sold the coupon I got with my 9800XT about 5-6 months
ago when I got my card.

I never played the first Half Life....and with all the things I'd heard about CS players...and the "might never be released" things...I just
didn't care.

The game would have to be friggin' awesome beyond imagination
to get me to, in a sense, buy it again.

But...never know...

Too overhyped, I'll try it then if it's worth it I'll buy it. Sometimes the media can't leave well enough alone, besides it'll be delayed so I'm not getting excited till, ohhh, October I think.

Yeah, it is ridiculous. I voted "can't be worse than D3"

I think it will still be a good game when it FINALLY comes out....

It should be good, not wetting myself. after doom3's hype and the letdown it turned out to be, i'm getting sceptical about hyped releases. HL2 and Stalker are the games i'm waiting for tho, so there's some expectation, just not as much as it could be
