comp hangs on boot

well, this comps been working real well for me for about the last month and a half now, and a small problem just came up about 2 days ago. when ever i turn the comp on, everythng goes well uptill the point when windows should boot. i get past the windows loading screen, but then it just stays black and nothing happens. if i just hit reset everything works just fine. its just that it hangs on the first time i try to start my comp every time. in case your wondering, no, theres no over clocking at all done to this system. any help would be appreciated.

na, that dosnt sound like thats it. since it goes through the entire post, goes to the windows loading screen, then when windows its self should start it just hangs. although now when i jsut got home and turned my comp on, everything was just fine. i didnt hang at all... seems odd.
as for my moniter, its a 21" NEC MultiSync 6FGp. its old, i know, but it still seems to be doing pretty good.
