eclecticism at it's finest
you name it, i listen to it:
Metal (Korn, Metallica, Scars of Life, etc)
Country (Big & Rich, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, etc)
Rock (RA, Queen, Saliva, Soundgarden, Seether, etc)
Oldies (Beach Boys, 3 Dog Night, etc)
Classical (Bach, Beethoven, etc)
Techno (Tiesto, Blank & Jones, Oakenfold, Bt, etc)
Rap (Lil Jon, Outkast, DMX, etc)
I listen to stuff 99% of the world hasn't heard of:
Primus
Soilwork
Deadstar Assembly
RA
Boy Sets Fire
BPM 140 + 7
Scars of Life
Forest For The Trees
Skyfire
the onyl thing i'm not heavily versed in is punk, i stick to mainstream punkish stuff (yellowcard, blink 182, greenday, pennywise, sum41 etc)
as for my favorite stuff out right now....hrmmm
SkyFire and Children of Bodom are probably what i like best right now, but the Big & Rich CD is very awesome as well

finding vinyls of these is extremely hard - so i'll stick to CDJ-ing for the moment

thats more on the commercial side compared to the stuff i listen to
dj scot project, hennes & cold, nik fish, thomas rubin, dj wag, and lots of artists that are one-off's in my media library (compilation DJ sets/cds are the best for finding new artists - the reason i buy most of my cds)

For sure, I'll have to keep an eye out for some of the less known stuff. Can you recommend some Ambient or 'complex techno' so to speak? I'm not really a fan of the cheap 1 synth sample, drum and cymbol loop stuff.

I just saw Slayer on Sun. at the Ozzfest and they ROCKED! Police had to break up a pit (non-violently as far as I know) since the venue's security got thrown out of it .
I enjoy nice heavy stuff, though Primus and Pink Floyd are at the top of my list. Haven't heard a song from either that I didn't like.

Slayer, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath are reason enough to go. Not sure if the band schedules or line-up changes, but Slipknot closed out the second stage when I was there. They are kickass live and are another good reason to go.
