well guys, all i wanted was a machine that could run cs w/ 100 fps...and i've spent over 800 dollars trying to achieve that.

my system specs are in my sig, and all i get is around 70 fps in CS, now i know it's a common problem w/ radeon cards...but it seems a little excessive.

knowing that all i want is a card that will get 100 in cs, and be able to handle cz and cs:source, what card would u recommend i get?

i can spend up to around 300 dollars

if thats the flat panel HP monitor my guess is good luck with 100FPS right there, but anyways....why 100?..u wont notice adifference between 70 and 100....but if you MUST, i dunno...try an nvidia?

100 FPS = Better Accuracy. It's the inferiority of the gaming engine...

oh...lol...i play SoF2 and its fine and dandy at 60...lol

it's true, cs has a bad physics engine that is based on your fps. meaning if u have 100 fps your crosshairs and recoil will go down a lot quicker, your nades will fly slightly faster, your bullets will hit your enemy first if u both shoot at the same time...

in fact u even turn faster w/ 100 fps, not that that can't be adjusted w/ mouse sensitivity ne ways.

it may just be me measuring my e-dick...but friends who have a lot worse of systems get much better fps than me...

i play sof2 as well...i get 85 constant because of vsync, w/out it i get 125 w/ drops down to 114.
