MOHAA -simply a superb atmosphere and a great game, sadly let down by a few levels that crawl even on ninja rigs

How could you compare a game that has been out for months and another that hasn't been released yet? What's wrong with you people! How could you justify your decision! You haven't played SOF2 yet!

I haven't played it yet...but SoF2 all the way!
SoF is still my all-time fave game...even over half-life. Yes it has almost no plot, and the replay value is questionable; (I say "questionable" instead of "repetative" since I've played the thing all the way thru at least 30 times) but it's still mine and my wife's fave game. When I'm in the mood to kill people virtually, no game gives me better satisfaction.
I've been looking forward to SoF2 for a long time.
How long? Well, I initially built Bubbles just to play it on when it came out, (That was back when Blue still had a PII350 & a 32Mb Fury (non-Pro) in her.), then went ahead and upgraded the balls out of Blue too when I figured out that the wife was gonna be just as anxious to play SoF2 as I was. I'm about two 256Mb simms away from finishing Blue's transformation, and they should be coming either today or this weekend. (Well, probably a new viddy card to replace the GF2 MX400 too...but I'm holding off for a bit longer if possible...)
So my vote definately would go with SoF2 I guess. :o

BOTH!!
MOH is a pretty short single player (biggest drawback). But its fun to play it through once. Get it on sale. I don't think its worth $45+

Yeah the release of MOHAA was short for the single player, but the game is far from over. EA will be releasing an expansion pack for it later this year; The only problem, 2015 won't be doing the MOHAA project anymore. Who ever takes over better make future releases damn good!
I'm hoping 2015 made the expansion pack for it before calling it quits on the MOHAA project, but I doubt it.

I've played the beta of SOF2 and the MP test.
I have also played MOHAA extensively (Via crack and copied CD's)
Due to the fact that i didn't pay for any of the 3 titles/demos... I can say that the MP test for SOF2 is the best. Mohaa was a good game... but just a little too simple... the graphics were also only soso... For wwII action i turn to RTCW...
The SOF2MP test however is absolutely crisp and smooth.. the weapons are excellent (and there is an excellent assortment) team play is well developed and theh graphics are of good quality... although not the best ive seen by far.

dunno about beta this or that, sof2 is out now, and when you get to the jungle you'll be weeping. the MP test was crap compared to the sinlge play visuals. I'm still shooting dead guys in the face six times to check out the brain stem action. Im very glad i played MOH before i got this game, cuz i would be saying MOH sux otherwise.

No, but the graphics making it so it's fun to shoot someone six times in the face just to watch their brainstem wiggle really does add something to a game. I just enabled gore in the demo and it is MUCHLY better.
I've gotta go get this game as soon as I can find the time! SoF isn't just about graphical violence, it's about excessive graphical violence. That is the games original claim to fame and still it's strongest selling point for me.
Take away the gore and I really don't see a whole lot original about the game, I was really bummed playing the demo before I enabled the gore.

I wonder...
I was looking through the manual for SoF2 the other day and I came across the section re: the violence level and the lockout...
What I want to know is what exactly they mean by 'Motion Captured Death Animations'....
I know they probably just had some schmoe's wiggle on the floor a bit, but I keep picturing them marching some poor guy into a room with ping-pong balls taped all over his body and then plugging him and letting the computer catch it all...
I mean... that's what it sounds like
*Deep in the bowels of Raven Software's development studio, hideous experiments that push the limits of motion capture software are performed...*
Man, I need sleep.

I belive Mohaa is better than rtcw or sof2. mohaa is good, but it has it problems. sometimes it hang at the start and you need a fast internet connection (faster than 64k) for playing mohaa multiplayer!! the atmosphere is very good and it rocks with dolby digital sound!!
