9700pro VGA modding
i'm up right now trying to mod my 9700pro's VGA (i'm on my sister's pc right now) but i've gotten stumped on how to remove the stock VGA cooler. I thought it was just two clips that you push in, then out.

Put the 9700 in a plastic airtight bag then put it in the freezer for about an hour. Take it out and pry the heatsink off by something like a screwdriver with a creditcard underneath it to make sure you don't damage the vpu. That should do it.

that's the easy part....i'm talking about the little clips that clip the heatsink to the card itself.

take a pair of needle nose plyers and flip the card over to the back side, you should see the 2 small pins sticking out a bit, carefully squeeze the tip of the pin with the plyers then you will be able to remove them

Alright, that sounds easy enough. Although when I was trying to do the mod, i noticed that one the tiny little squares (not the memory module) that can be found all over the card is missing, and anohter one right next to it is about to fall off. I asked at work what they were, and the tech and he said they were filters. He said that my display would start to look funky and get artifacts all the time; he wouldn't recomend using the card. But it's still working fine. Soon as i can, i'll get some pix of what i'm talking about posted up.
