Reflection Of Inner Being
Sitting in front of this mirror
see my inner self
doubtless to my feelings
like I could give a care
The reflection shaded in gray
the mirror cleaned with
a rag filthy with sorrow
wasn't my fault
wasn't even there
rest of the world
adorned the prize
I see through myself
no inner density at all
no matter how hard I try
nothing there to call
No purpose to what I do
see myself for the first time
quite shocking and true
I didn't see myself but the
image of you
I asked this manifestation to
leave my soul
No reply is what I got
a lock on my heart
someday I will take it off
Darkness overcasts this image I see
maybe an end to it or me
but I don't really care
sitting on a tension time bomb
only forgetting my job
Live no more, seen so much
don't like to give into the image
or the way it punches the inside walls
I built up to protect myself
Finally I realize I will never win
Two persons I shall forever be
all of them not not quite what I
thought I would see
Doesn't matter anyway
The image is really just me.
Autumn's Twilight
blue waters of salvation
clear like your sparkling eyes
like the stars on a clear night
you are a blessing from god to me
your beauty a flower amongst many thorns
tears at the soul of compassion
the voice I hear is of your own
a song echoing in the silence
a song I deserve not to hear.
