RTS FANS - Perimeter
Well ive heard alot of good things about this game and having played the demo I was in two minds whether to buy it or not as the whole interface was very confusing for me. A totally different slant on RTS games and while I liked the engine, the idea and the concept I found the controls to be somewhat lacking and confusing.
Anyway I noticed on play.com that they were selling this game for half the retail price of 34.99 (17.99) and decided going on the reviews which have raved about it and how its pushed the envelope for RTS to give it a shot.
So initally I almost gave up, and was getting my ass severly handed to me on a plate and was about to deinstall it when I decided to (yes for a change), read the manual. after getting my head around the whole concept of soldiers, and officers and nanomorphing and how things "worked" I persevered with it a little, and now I have to say this gets my game of the month - its really unique and very well done. plays like a dream.
So for those of you who warezed it, installed it and deintalled it thinking it sucked, pick it up in a store and sit and give the manual a good hour long read. its wonderful.

The game is really unique. My friends and I are all big on multiplayer RTS and we are taking to this pretty well. It's tough to get used to, especially for some who grew up on oldschool Westwood RTSs, but it's shaping up to be a fun game for sure.
