I wonder

I was wondering are the kX effects (such as reverb & chorus) the creative ones or are they based on algorithms of kX developers?

Also having used the ASIO4ALL driver with an MP3 Blaster USB device i was wondering if the kX drivers were, in the same way, based on the WDM or if they were written just for the creative cards.

Just curious.

Also, i thought Eugene might appreciate a good old fashioned THANKYOU for all his efforts. hip hip....

and hooray

but kX only works on certain creative cards, based on the 10k1/10k2 chips

and i am pretty sure that all effects and DSP modules were coded by the kX developers

Most effects were coded by KX developers, but some of them are just wrappers which translate KX code to creative's or emu's one (if I'm not mistaken...).

I think they are, there are lots of original plugins, but a few of them are wrappers (I've read this somewhere else in this forum...)

DSP effects found in the 'APS' and 'Liveware' groups were coded by Creative Labs/E-mu
(however, we've used only the DSP microcode, not the host-code -- the 'wrappers' were written by us from scratch since there are no sources available)
