aiw 9600 problem w/ capturing

i have an unusual problem.
i have the aiw 9600
i'm trying to do video captures
i'm getting rolling white lines and ghosting
i read as many post as i could, but did not see the same problem
already checked cables
already checked soucre, actually tried multiple sources
tried composite and tuner, same result as s-video, the white lines and ghosting, all the latest drivers and fixes, but still no luck
if anybody would like me to do a small capture and show you the image i can email it to you or try to post the images
thanks for any help
oh, also tried different refresh rates as well, still a no go
2-21-04 add another problem
now when i go into TV i get a solid black image from all sources, no static on tuner and nothing on the others
this is strange, is the aiw 9600 just junk or did i just get a bad card?

setup:
aiw 9600 ntsc/us
athlon 64 3000+
1gb ddr 333 ecc
soyo ck8 dragon plus board
sony 17" crt trinitron and hdtv

i was up till 5 am fudging around with this, i'm starting to get sick of installing this uninstalling that lol
i even did a fresh windows xp install
my last resort is to return and exchange the card, but they are out of aiw 9600 and i'd hate to be forced to upgrade to aiw 9800

Hmm. I think I remember a problem like this previously, but I can't remember what it was, had to do with the actual device providing the output to the card. Could be macrovision protection, I'd try another source of video and see if you get the same thing. (Different DVD player, or whatever)

I'm going to try to remember what it was too....

if i disable my second monitor and power it off everything is fine
i'm probably gonna take this aiw 9600 back
i'm so dissapointed in how they chose to do dual vga with one connector splitting into to outputs
