Strange LFE problem (Ac3filter from sf.net, 4.0 speaker setup, sb live value!)

Hi!

I own an older (around 1999) SB Live Value!. It has 2 stereo speaker outputs (front, rear) and it is supposed to do the LFE output on the front speaker. Unfortunatly there is an issue when playing an AC3 file (the test file from: http://www.tfm.ro/ac3/):

I play it, front, center and rear speaker are fine. LFE is not (I cannot hear it). I stop mplayer2 open the AC3Filter properties, close it, move the slider of mplayer2 to the LFE part of the test file, and the LFE is hearable!
Same if I open kxMixer and close it, I suddenly can hear the LFE.

Any ideas? Whats wrong with my setup? I am also confused by the surround options:

I have selected "4.0 speaker setup", but what do the 2 Subwoofer/BASS options mean? (In the surround setup).

I installed the latest driver from the kx website (ver. 3537 full).

Please help me!! :-)

System Specs

disable the subwoofer/bass options, they are only used for dedicated LFE outputs in x.1 systems

Hi!

I disabled those options, but the problem is still there.

It is strange:

I played the AC3 Testfile, paused in the middle of the LFE Test (no LFE can be heared), opened the kxMixer, closed it, continued the video clip and suddenly I can hear the LFE. But then the "moving effect" is totally wrong. What should come from front left now comes from rear left etc...

Any ideas?
