Sad SB Live! 5.1 SB0100 Rear Channels

First of all, the Creative drivers work great for me except in Half-Life: Source. There, they work fine unless I want to actually use 5.1 mode (Logitech z-640 5.1 setup). I've had all the speakers working in the last 24 hours, so I'm pretty sure it's the drivers I'm dealing with.

I tried reinstalling the creative drivers. For some reason, unlike the last time I did this, I now have no access to the surround mixer they provide. Looks like I need a CD (never asked for one before...), and I've contacted them in hopes that within a year I might get one.

In the meantime I'm using the kX driver. Now I have no rear channel support at ALL. The devices (Windows XP Pro SP2) are all set to the 4/5 kX output. The speaker test has the front channels, center, and subwoofer working. Something has gone horribly wrong here.

I have the kx mixer set to 5.1 output. The rear channels and subwoofer are at +12 in the mixer, the rest are at 0. What gives? Only thing I can see that's out of place is that the driver brings my card up as SB0102 when it's SB0100.

Never mind. Turns out the fader was set all the way to the front channels. D'oh!

HAHA! I was just about to post a question in the forums about the exact same thing, after almost going insane after days of not understanding what was happening. But in the last second I found this, went and checked the fader, and tada! It was set all the way to the front speakers.

Bah.
