ALchemy for Audigy (VISTA) + KX = ?

Just for curiosity - is there a possibility that ALchemy for Audigy will work with KX-Drivers ?

Haven't tested it, and don't want to give up 10 bucks for something that doesn't work.
Don't want to install buggy creative drivers too...
Have someone tested it/managed to work ?

i think the only reason to use ALchemy would be to use CL specific features like EAX in vista games, which is unsupported by kX - so there doesn't seem to be much need for it

also iirc kX does have at least some support for OpenAL

yeah, but as far as I know ALchemy 'translates' EAX and DirectSound3D requests into OpenAL format...
So my question remains - will it work with KX ? Because KX supports OpenAL... And I must be sure...
Because I'm not an hardcore gamer, but this would be great to have some kind of support for 3-D positioning and effects in games...
Heard the difference with and without EAX or D3D... and it's big.

Thanks for your reply, so there is no point for investing like 10 bucks in Creative ALchemy plus free of charge - crappy drivers for Vista...
