Hi guys! First off I love KX Drivers, and now that I just read Vista and 64bit support is planned, I figured I would upgrade my A1 to an A2ZS to celebrate (a seemingly good plan for the future, as I would presume that Audigy's are being phased out and the only option we'll have soon is the POS X-Fi

).
Anyway... I've been cosidering getting into surround sound for awhile (I'm usually just a music guy, and for that I'll stick with my headphones) because I do occasionally game and watch DVDs. In order to reduce the number of components in my setup (and costs), I figure I may as well get a set of analog-only "dummy" speakers (I'm eyeing the 7.1 Creative Inspire P7800 set) and let my soundcard/computer do the decoding and processing. However, I usually game with with a PS2, which has an optical output jack and, in the most important case (Gran Turismo 4) outputs Dolby Prologic II (over optical, the fact that the game manual implies that it can do this over 2 analog outputs as well confuses me to no end).
In a nutshell... I've had experience with dsp and sound processing, but surround sound encoding/decoding is completely foreign to me. Using KX Drivers, if I stick an optical cable in my PS2 and into my A2ZS Platinum Optical In, and set the PS2 to Dolby Pro Logic II output, will I get the full 5.1 sound to the A2ZS's analog outs? And how bad will the lag be? Thanks in advance.
BTW, upon further investigation, it seems my Xbox (which I admittedly use seldomly) and the 360 (which I may get in the future) use Dolby Digital (hurray for simplicity

, god I love analog). Would decoding for that work as well? And what the heck, while I'm asking, any chance for Dolby TrueHD, the freaky new PS3/Blu Ray format? (OK, I guess that one's a longshot).
I've seen similar questions to this in other places on the forums, but it seemed everyine else was interested in encoding to some degree as well. This is for decoding only. The buck would stop at my A2ZS (which is for the best, its AD converters are far superior to any low-grade home thater's convertors, low-grade being my given price range...)
