Xkqwts is on a distinguished road

low results on a high-end notebook?

my system: P4 3,06 with 512MB DDR, ATI mobility 9600pro (128MB), 15"display (max resolution: 1400x1050)

while ut2003 and prince of persia, even the farcry demo perform nicely on maximum visual settings, i only get about 2500 points in 3Dmark03 and in other games like SW:Kotor, DX:IW or mech commander 2 ( ) the fps rarely are above 10 .

on a freash winxp pro sp1 installation, so that shouldn't be the problem. btw, one of my 3 harddisk partitions is highly fragmented, but the games are not installed on this one.
or do i only get these low scores "because it's a laptop"?
any recommended tweaks?

thx in advance

I would say that you should google and see if you can find reviews of laptops with similar specs to yours using the M10Pro (M9600 Pro) and see what they score in 3DMark03

However I will say that does sound right to me but I could be wrong
