PowerVR Series 5.....

I've posted this over at Pvr-Net.... a good forum for all those using PVR cards yet.... still an active place.... (tad bit slow... but rather still flowing) quite awhile ago

Little history on how i came by it first...

I do monthly PVR searches on google and sometimes other search engines just to see if something has come up... article or whathave you ....

I came across something that was directly related to Series 5.... Page couldn't be displayed... but google cache not only had the page up... (all black with a few images missing)... but they also had this image here.. along with another that was just image quality test... (not a big deal since it was only 640x480 anyways)

I saved the image as (what it's called) think WTF... yeah right it's real.... seeing as the AMD name alone kinda sits you back and makes you wonder....

Still looking at not only the specs... and exact detailes.... it does seem rather actually more then possible...

Take a gander... It still intrigues me...

(look at date of driver to)

Looks fairly possible to me. Like if the screenshot was leaked from a PowerVR testing lab, as they may well be running with other not publically available components and software to test things. Also one should remember that the system info of this software can likely not correctly identify some things, as it sometimes fails in parts with regular hardware. However it is also very possible that PowerVR may have some testing card running that in itself is quite exiting, without there being production capacity available for a full product any time soon. I hope they come out soon, but on the other hand they can probably wait a while too. At least until they can see how ATI's and nVidia's upcoming new series stack up.

neato... just more on this to hold up for this image....

Only thing we really have to be suspisous about now is the AMD Athena.... 2.8ghz... BTW... i noticed that 233FSB doesn't make much sence.... maybe...... not sure how the ratios would look for the PCI or whatever.. enless of course PCI Express is saposed to be used....

And yeah... you can see that some stuff isn't being showed correctly....

I noticed that two- first thing I thought of when I saw the news story about the naming of the next DX (9.0c), gives this more potential credibility, that's for sure.
