Beautiful pic Zardon. The look of the water and the sunset are nicely done.

Zardon,
This is an absolutely gorgeous image. It's the kind of scenic image that fits my tastes to a "T".
There is only one thing, and it's something with just about every water rendering image I've seen: There's no evident 'back ripple' effect from the ship's presence in the water....nor from the shoreline. I've been working a bit on trying to get that in a few of my own images.

The boat doesn't have to be moving to create the ripple effects. Just its mere presence in the water, with the waves lapping against the sides, will do that. Same with the waves lapping against the shore. The only time you might not see that is if the wind is completely stagnant and the water is glassy smooth.

the water is still virtually except for a slight breeze, the camera zoom shows the details, and the shoreline is soft grass, and the water is moving southward (towards the screen) so it wouldnt lap on the shore to the east anyway certainly not in a visible fashion with the shadow effect cast in that image.
its not a technical simulation of water anyway - ill leave that to programmers, its a fantasy image.

actually the boat is a 10 ton viking warship loaded with weapons and dead bodies, its not moving or bobbing about as I created it, its perfectly stationary, suspended in time with a spell from the woman on the shoreline who is in fact a distant relative of sauron the darklord.
anything else?

Another nice piece of work Zardon......
Here is my question : If the wind is calm enough for the water to remain still, would the sails have the arched look as if they werre holding wind ?
