XFX GeForce 5600 Install Problem

I am hoping there is a expert out there that can help me with this. I just bought a XFX GeForce 5600 256meg vid card. My system is compatible according to the requirements (Athlon Classic 1Ghz CPU, Epox KX7a motherboard with VIA chipset, latest BIOS, 650megs PC-133 ram, Win2k), but when I start the system after installing the card, the screen is so garbled that I cannot proceed to the driver installation.
I uninstalled my previous vid card drivers and utilities (ATI Radeon) and even used Driver Cleaner to make sure there were no latent left over drivers on my system. I thought perhaps that it was my power supply (300 Watt) so I disconnected my second hard drive and my CDRom but it made no difference. The screen is a choppy double image. When moving the mouse I get a trail of distorted video in its wake. I've installed and reinstalled the vid card physically a dozen times with no change. I'm thinking it may be BIOS matter, but can't think of what more to change. So far I haven't heard from any tech support and probably won't until Monday. Had good luck with matters relating to my Radeon card in these forums, I'm hoping someone can help this time.

yep sounds like possably an old bios issue....

run driver cleaner again... if you have your old card stick it in... install the nvida drivers shut the system down. put the nvida card in boot up see were that get ya....

also make sure you running the latest 4n1/hyperon drivers from www.viaareana.com

Yep, it was a BIOS issue. Found the answer about fifteen minutes after posting here, LOL. I had to disable the "AGP Fast Write" option in the BIOS. Now, where can I find an overclocking utility for the GeForce? I thought Radclocker would have came with the latest Omega drivers but there was nothing there to install.
