lz help very Noob on how to Softmod My 9500pro

Hi Well I Notice the tutorial in this forum "How to mod a Radeon 9500 non-Pro to a 9700 non-Pro" , but since I'm a nobb on that subject I'm not sure if they mean 9500pro also....(9500 non-pro) is that tutorial helpfull also to me? do they mean 9500 non and 9500 pro? Sorry for my ignorance.. I'm just not sure if I could actually use that tutorial to mod my 9500 pro.
some help would be really apreaciated.

pro and non-pro are different.

In the case of the pro, the core is similar to the 9700 except the memory bandwidth is 128bit.
And if its a Built by ATI product, its pcb layout is that the chip is in the middle and 4 memory chips are laid out in a line. (i think all 9500pro are created like this)

In the case of the non pro, the core is similar to the 9700 also, excpet the memory bandwidth is 128bit and 4 of the pixel pipelines has been disabled. the PCB layout is usually set the same as a 9700/pro with the 4 memory chips in an 'L' configuration (2 on top, 2 beside). This is the one they are talking about, beacuse the card is practically a 9700 with some artificial disabling of features. The softmod re-enables these and thats how u get the theoretical '9700'.

You cant do it with the 9500pro cuz the layout is different.

Hey thanks men!...Well so I heard theres something I can do with the 9500pro! Actually I read alot of things around... well thanks anyways .. if U happen to know ..please let me know .

there might actually be some kind of mod for the 9500pro, but im not familiar with any that may exist. So i dont know
