Prob with 9700 pro and windows 2003

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem as me. Everytime i install a driver set newer then 3.4 on my win2003 machine it blue screens upon loading the gui and memory dumps. The only way for me to get back is to select use last known working config... I hear everyone talking about how great 3.7 is yet I cant get past 3.4. any help would be greatly appriciated.

Catalyst 3.7 turns off HW acceleration on Windows 2003 completely.
I don't know why.

Can you try to go into safe mode or something and bump it back up?
This could solve it.
