The huge forest application requires an OpenGL accelerator and works best with the NVIDIA GeForce⢠ATI Radeon⢠videocard series. After downloading, unzip the contents into a folder and run the RunMe.exe executable.

This demo was downloaded over 30,000 times from the NVIDIA developer site. It currently runs only on a GeForce3 or better hardware as part of an agreement with NVIDIA.*
* While this particular demo does require NVIDIA-specific hardware, there is nothing in the SpeedTree product line that is tied to any specific graphics hardware.

Are you sure you have a 9700 Pro?
No I went back and really looked at it lastnight.
The one I was looking at is something they did for nvidia that puts giant mec's in the forst

Huge Forest demo looks nice, but a little fuzzy. Got it off the SpeedTree site, and I also picked up the other demo. The Mech in the forest one, but I haven't been able to install it. It's in some MSIexec, and .msi things that won't work. They just say wrong version/OS.. Also the demos for Need 4 Speed: hot pursuit 2 are like that too.
I'm using Windows XP home SP1, and a Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB w/8x AGP.

I just got that program yesterday Quite spectacular realism, and the HDR features make me really want to see HDR in action (doom 3, wasn't it?) I'll post a screenshot at 1600x1200 if anyone wants to see it

Huh.. That's weird.. That rthdribl one just won't work on my card.
Must use different call routines than the huge forest one.
That huge forest one DID work on mine. Quite spiffy.

Actually, aren't these OpenGL demos, not DX9 demos? I mean, they are two different API's after all.
....well, that forest demo is OGL anyway.....
