don't take my word on it...but if the card up for auction is the one in the .picture ..then i think it can be unlocked.

Yes like sinjin said if what is in the picture is it, then yes it can be modded.

just becuse it looks like the right one dont mean it is.. my card looks just like that pic it when i install the Omega soft mod my display checkerboards so ya got a 50/50 chance... it sucks but true.

In order for the softmod to work, I'm fairly sure it has to be a Sapphire 9500np, which is the one in the picture.

Yes you are right that the chances being around 50/50. But as far as the board being the right memory configuration, then yes that one is it. It is luck of the draw sometimes as to how high the card can go without checkerboarding.

the softmod wont work on my saf 9500np but my clock speeds core=365 mem=301 stock cooling too bad mod dont work on my card...

Need help, have a sapphire 9500np and when I use the ati omega driver it says it changes my chip to a 9700 in properties, but my 3dmark goes down when i can get the omega drivers to work or sometimes 3dmark will act like its starting then just stop. tried other patched catalyst 3.7 drivers with hacked file still mods my card as a 9700 chip in properties, but again cant get get 3dmark to start up at all, act like it will test then then just lock up on first test and cant play games either. when i use whql ati 3.7 drivers get highest 3dmark no problems but in card properties shows it as a non modded 9500, so the softmodding is working just experiencing lock ups. When I mod my card to a 9700np could the refresh rates somehow be changed to frequencies that my monitor cant handle at certain resolutions? When using Omega I keep the refresh rates at the 75mz option. Anybody have any suggestoins? Clint
