Don't know jackshit about ABIT boards, but that seems like a good rig, edperks. 1 gig or RAM makes almost all intese games (ala Unreal 2, Halo, Freelancer) run smooth, 9700 Pro makes them look good and the Barton 3K+ makes them run good!

The Abit AT7-Max2 can support the 400 mhz .... you just have to make it work....

Well I got the Motherboard and CPU in today and I have some good and bad news The good is there was nothing wrong with my prior motherboard it was the power supply. So now I have a P4X400 Dragon Lite and Pent 2.4B 533fsb that I can sell on ebay. The bad new is I have to order a New Power Supply and HSF and That stuff wont get here till monday or tuesday :-( And on another note what is a good HSF for a barton 3000+ 400 FSB. Anywho I using an old Compaq presario 500Mhz amd with onboard video till The Power supply and HSF come in.

It certainly does! My bro just upgraded his main rig to a NF7-S, AMD Barton 3000, 1gig of PC3200 and it's running SWEET!! Snappy as can be.
To edperks: I would suggest getting some PC3200 RAM to support the 333FSB better and with more lee-way to overclock, if that's your thing. Otherwise, sounds like a good setup.

My last two boards have been ABIT boards. I'm very happy with the overall performance of them, too.
