Msconfig.exe missing???

Hello. I've noticed that win2k do not have the msconfig executable, while this exists in Win98 and WinXP
Do you know if there is in win2k under another name, or if there is a simillar executable where I can see the start up executables?
Thanks in advance

Windows 2000 does not have a msconfig utility. They left out that utility for Win2k. I have not been able to find it successfully or something like and I then switched to Windows XP because of that and Windows XP is not so BIOS dependant as Win2k (I had a time where Win2k would turn on the onboard sound where I already had a soundcard in a pci slot - screwed things up for me). later pete

Well it is not all halleluja....
I found that since SP3, if you use the msconfig, all services who do not have the automatic setting, will be set on disabled,
so you might wanne check that.
Not to say this will happen on your rig, after all it is MS

well i would say you should not use the "System configuration Utility" (msconfig.exe) for "control the programms that start when you pc boots". msconfig is use for determining the nature of windows probs. and thats actually good for.
