Band Of Brothers
I have been hearing so much about this show recently from friends, real life and online, so I decided to go pick up the DVD boxed set comprising 6 dual layer DVDs with some bonus material and other little extras.
Its produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, so its off to a good start for me already !
Has anyone watched the whole mini series? im hoping its as good as ive heard. ill hopefully get a few free nights over the coming weeks to get watching it.

I too bought the DVD set last February. watched it all through twice and just a few nights ago watched the 120 minute documentary on the last disc with the real verterans that the movie depicts. If you don't shed some tears while watching through those DVD's and documentaries, something just ain't right. Absolutely, 100% worth the money spent and any time used to "take in" the whole Easy Company experience....

I recently, er, *obtained* a copy of the first two episodes... after finishing watching the first one and starting the second one, I've put in an order for the DVD boxed set Very good, if you ask me, really has a good "feel", as if it were very real and immediate, instead of 50 years ago

i watched the series on hbo. so impressed, i purchased the collection on intial day of release & have warched it twice since. thinking about another run. if you can, watch it in one sitting, that is the best experience. hard to get 10 hrs straight like that though.

I have to agree this is one awesome series... The thing that makes it for me is not only how well it is done, but the fact that the guys who were actually there are the guys that they had tell the story...
There is no BS in this, the interviews are really quite moving...
Definitely a keeper...

The first episode is quite slow , but you need to watch it to understand the rest of the series.

The part when they got to the concentration camps, had my stomach reeling, very powerful, brought a tear to my eye............ the attrocities, words fail me.............

I agree Zardon, quite amazing series. Anything to do with the concentration camps brings me to tears I watched 'The Pianist' recently, keep an eye out for it when it's released on DVD you won't be disappointed, it's a heart-rending story.

No... Thank you to you people who took the time to watch and understand not only what the Soldiers went through, but also what the world as a whole went through...
We should never forget these sacrifices....
Zardon, what did you think of the comentary disk? I think that is one of the things that stuck with me the most... Watching the individual episodes was amazing, but listening to the people who actually lived thos episodes left me speechless....
