The last links don't work. Just like C. h. risk's links... can you upload to rapidshare or megaupload?

Can you post links (rapidshare or megaupload) that contain your hotkey utility drivers and the other hard to find items that most of us are searching for?

No but I can guide you through how to get to them.
Go to Toshiba Australia and New Zealand - 20 years leading mobile computing. (select all that and copy to search bar) If that doesn't work search for Toshiba - Australia and New Zealand in google and click the first search result.
--Click 'Support' on the left menu
--Click 'Drivers, BIOS, Utilities, Software' in the download centre portion
--Click 'Notebooks' in the first box
--Click 'Satellite' in the second box
--Click 'A210-(PSAFGA)' in the third box and click 'go'
--Click 'SPA210 THotkey-1.00.01-XP.exe' link to download that driver
--Click "SPA210 Power-Saver-7.04.02.1-XP.exe' to download that driver
Install both. No need to restart.

I dunno. Mine is working perfectly on xp as we speak. I'm sure I don't have exactly the same model you do though. There were several different variations on this.

U can prolly set those keys using Winamps Gobal Key plugin. Cuz u know.. each black (global) key is a keyboard key combination.
Also, I'm sure we can find some program out there to set the internet and music black keys. I'll do a little research for my niggers.

OK, sorry this took me forever...
I have been testing different components, and have had to rebuild my machine like 10 times in the last month, but am pleased to report that I have a 100% working Toshiba Satellite A215-S5818.
I didn't know about RapidShare, which is sweet, so thanks for mentioning it. I have zipped all the necessary files and hosted them there.
Here's the link: Toshiba Satellite A215-S5818 XP Drivers Package
Again, I apologize for leaving anyone hanging for so long, I just wanted to be 100% sure this works. If anyone has any problems with any of this stuff, please let me know so I can compile everyone's collected information and make this process easier for everyone.
Interestingly enough, Consumer Reports just rated the A215-S5818 as the second best laptop available currently. If only it came with XP...
Good Luck!!

Xp Sp3
SP3 is out now, just so you know...
And more importantly, SP3 will be the LAST update for XP, as Microsatan has discontinued its development in favor of Vista, which everyone just loves so frickin' much.
At least we should all have decently working computers for a few years, until developers are bullied into no longer supporting XP either...

Ya I just got SP3 from Windows update yesterday and it also removed my malware. Yes Vista does suck, but we can't do anything about it. Microsatan ownez themselves. It couldn't get any better than Win98, but it did. Now it just seems like it wont get any better than XP because so much tech was built around the OS since 2001-2007. So who knows, Vista SP2 may bring something new. For now lets just be glad that this is a fact: Windows XP outshines Vista in benchmarking test - CNET News.com

Any advice?

This may solve your problem;
Check or reactivate DMA
But this may not always be not enough, because unfortunately Windows does not always automatically activate DMA on a DVD or CD drive. You have to check and, if necessary, tell Windows to try to use DMA first. It is possible that Windows XP with Service Pack 2 re-enables DMA automatically on reboot, but I have not tested this yet.
To re-enable DMA, go to Device Manager again. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tag, click on the Device Manager button, click on the plus sign to the left of IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller, double-click on the secondary IDE channel, click on Extended Settings and change the relevant setting from PIO only to DMA when available.
On Windows NT and 2000 you now have to reboot a second time, but Windows XP applies the change instantly. Then you can go to the same place in Device Manager again and check whether the device is now actually using DMA mode. If so, all is well.
Note that many CD and DVD drives only use UDMA-2, because their data rate is much lower than that of a hard disk. This is normal and no reason to worry.
If this doesn't help, there are more options listed here

Try the toshiba site; choose to search all available drivers; look for Realtek wireless lan win xp 8187 (I think). This is what I am using. The lan driver I'm using is the 8101e.

Greetings all,
I just have a couple of quick questions, hopefully I can get some help.
When I try installing the "Hotkeys" or the "Toshiba Common Module" setups it gives me:
I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 but it says "Version 2002":
Do you think the error message could be appearing because of this "2002 Version" that I have? Or do you think it's because I have SP2 and not SP3? Anyways, I was able to download it, my problem is the installation part. Also, I do not have any yellow exclamation marks on my Device Manager, so I can't do it through there.. Please help =)
*I would like to thank everyone for their contribution, specially ukmex!*
Here's a shot of my Device Manager:
Anyone know which modem that is??

4) Smile.
With everything else in this thread, you should have a fully operational Satellite a215-s5818. I think this stuff will also work for some of the other model numbers that are close in the 21X-X series.
Good luck!

I downloaded these from Toshiba site but it won't install on my Satellite A215-4747 - says my system is not supported. Any ideas how to get Common Module and Hotkeys installed?

One thing I did to find some of my drivers, download the ones from tos, unzip them, read the .inf for the specific model #'s, go to manufactureres web sites for most, wifi, synaptics, nic, hd audio...
Omega, at this site, created an ati video install package as well as an nvidia package. It works swimmingly. You could try a google search "Omega video drivers"
With wifi had to install 4 or 5 times, had it a little incorrect during the manual driver install, I wasn't digging down to the containing folder, just the parent folder.
Hopefully this method will help you discover the model #'s for hte things you need.
For bios, some people over @ insanelymac forums showed some disassembly methods to load the bios, say if you want to go backwards. It involves winace and one or two others. By stepping through the istaller you could extract the bios flash utility and the .bin .rom or whatever. Pretty cool.
