exclamation Lagg

Alright, this is my first post for the sole reason that I have no other place to go.
During winter of 07' I used to play a lot of CS:S after the new year I slowly quit, now after about 6 months I re-downloaded source and tried to play.
For the last 2 weeks I have had a unconsistant frame rate of 17-42FPS.
I find this strange considering in the winter I played at a consistant 35FPS.
I've tried everything; scripts, drivers, game accelerators, etc.
Nothing. So I have decided to ask you so caled experts .

My system specs are,

3.33GHz processor
ATI Radeon X1050 video card with 256Mb of onboard DDR2
1 Gig of DDR2 Kingston memory
512Mb of DDR2 kingston memory
80mm case fans (LED)
400Wt power supply
100Gig SATA Hard drive

I think my rig is sufficient to run a low demand game on medium video requirements.

Tell me what you think.

Remember to look at your config as well and your graphics settings, your system build would suggest you should be able to get higher FPS than that ~75. Cant remember fully what it is for CS:Source but for CS 1.6 the fps_max command in the console line should be set to 100 or higher to increase the max cap on the framerates and turning Vsync to OFF in the graphics card settings usually helps as well.

Wink Thank you,

I figured it out, my video card was a piece of shit.
2 days ago I got 2 PNY Verto 9600GT's with 512Mb of GDDR3 memory 650 MHz core clock 256-bit interface 1800MHz memory clock and the shader clock is at 1625. SLI'd them together on a EVGA N-force 680i motherboard with my new C2Q Q6700 2.66MHz stock-clocked and a gig of 800MHz Z-memory. all in all it cost around 730.00.
Well worth it with my old set up I averaged about 9FPS on crysis with mid settings now I can ACTUALLY play it with now lag high settings at 2560x1600 with around 32FPS again thanks for the help.
