Or you could return the mobo and get an XFX 780i board which works perfectly right out of the box. OK, you don't get the soundcard included and it has a few option missing from the bios that the Asus has, but I prefer a system that boots rather than one that gives me problems.
I did persist with my Asus board for a week, trying everything including beta bios direct from Asus technical but the thing just wasn't stable with 8gb of ram. I bought an XFX board (same 780i chipset) to see if it was one of my components, and that thing booted straight up and is 100% stable.
I used to trust Asus to make a good board, but that is the last time I buy anything from them...........
