vista64 & gw.
anybody had issues playing gw in 64?
my fps is averaging teens, i can get to 40 sometimes if im standing still in gh by myself. i dropped all my graph setting to med & went from 4 to 2x aa. no change
my ping has also been about 20% worse than my wifes vista 32 in gw.
ive tried both vers of xp compatibilty mode, all they did was make the screen flkr & had no effect on anything else.
anet says they will not support vista64, wich i can actually understand at this point, just dont like it. they gave me a couple of suggestion but didnt help.
so anybody got any ideas..... pls

Random abbreviations FTW, LOL.
N95 is a NOKIA mobile phone.
What it means is that temeteus is either rich or works for Nokia. ;p

Do you have the latest NVIDIA drivers? Right now the latest are 175.16.
I've got a suggestion but I have no idea if it will make a difference. Press Windows key + Pause key, click Advanced system settings, click Settings under the Performance tab, uncheck "Enable desktop composition".
When this is activated, Vista renders every window to an off-screen buffer to keep every Window content in memory. To display them on your desktop, it makes a copy from these buffers to the desktop buffer.
I'm not sure if it's activated when you play games. If it is, it means there's an additional copy from buffer to buffer that happens (game renders to offscreen buffer, Vista copies the offscreen buffer to the desktop buffer).
Apart from that, maybe you could report this as a bug to NVIDIA. They have information about the current bugs in their driver releases notes (did not see any for GW in the latest driver releases notes).
There's also something called Multimedia Class Scheduler service (MMCSS) in Vista. It gives priority to multimedia applications over other stuff like networking. It needs to be activated by the app to be used. Windows Media Player uses it. Maybe DirectX uses it too since it's also made by Microsoft (I have no idea if it does). With SP1, Microsoft added a way to adjust network throttling. From what I read, the problems with throttling mainly happens at very high speed (gigabit) but maybe this throttling also affects ping.
