kX drivers (3539) does not like Vista with 4 Gb memory... help!
Hi!
When I tried to install 4 gigabytes of ram memory to my Vista computer the kX (3539) drivers did not work at all; they only produced digital distortion noise. The same case happened with 3 gigabytes installation. When the amount of memory was reduced to 2 gigabytes, the drivers started to work again. I tried to reinstall the drivers, and even Vista, multiple times. Does someone else have similar problems or is there any solutions?
The memory modules are physically ok, they are not causing the problem.
Thank you for your help!

Thank you
Oh, sorry for my impatience for not searching the forum for answers before posting a new thread.
Okay, so it seems there is not a solution for this problem yet?

Is there anything we can do to get this issue fixed faster?
I don't want to be impatient, just want to offer help...
(same applies to 64bit support )

I'm using 3538k with 4gb without any single problem, never had any trouble with 4gb BTW, the only problem I found is the 3539 not working well, giving noise instead of audio in Vista. Hoping there's any solution for this.
My audigy plat ex works fine in vista using Creative drivers.

the device has no problems in device manager.
kxmixer says it can't initialize the board and exits.

Ok, I think I am another victim...
I was gonna post a separate topic but I think this one is better.
I recently installed VISTA 32 and got Live! 5.1, so it didn't work properly. I had 1GB of RAM at the time. I installed kX and it worked fine. And then I bought 2 more GB of ram, so I got 3 now. And the sound stopped working. I was trying to install other drivers than kX just to see if I could (I hoped maybe they have better EAX support) but I had some problems, BSOD started shoring up and I ended up installing and uninstalling stuff many, many times, I even did a clean VISTA install today. So I didn't know what's going on, but now that I read other ppls posts, I think it might be the >2GB issue...right now I'm at a state with 3539 installed, and the devices are installed but there's nothing coming out from the speakers. When I do a kX Speaker test, it says "Failed to create sound". Before the current state, whenever I isntalled the drivers I only had terrible noise coming out of the speakers.
Before 3539 I was using 3541. My card model is SB0102. I'd appreciate if anyone can help toresolve this, meanwhile I'll try installing 3538 and see what happens.
I am, however, getting sick of this and might just bite the bullet and get an X-Fi...it sucks though, cause the Live is a fine working card...
