Big Bang Theory

I'm not a fan of these types of shows most often..

i hated friends/seignfeld/drew carey show/etc and so forth of the pass 20 years..

However the Big Bang Theory apparently hit a nerve,

Never seen it on tv, just ran into it over various "methods" on the internet to watch shows.

I find it rather interesting to watch.

A first.

anyone else seen it?

My sister and her husband love it, but I've yet to watch an episode.

It's a really good show. Like all other TV except Lost I'd never watch it without the DVR though.

I read an interview with the main skinny dork dude and he said he has no idea what he's saying on the show half the time. That's disturbing because I understand him most of the time!

Its on in the UK and I have skipped over a couple of episodes, unfortunately, the humour (and please dont take offence to this) is very American......in the same way that Little Britain is very British if you know what I mean....and therefore, not actually that funny imho.

Its a bit like an American version of 'The IT Crowd', which I actually found really funny!!

Really crappy.

Seriously, how can any of you think this a good show? Just being able to relate and understand doesn't make it good.

The writing is horrible, no substance just fluff. I'm guessing most people would laugh because they don't understand it. I understand everything the say and there is no comedy in overstating things with more words than you need. Also the characters the people are playing don't match the people!

They are trying to shove too many words into it to try and make it sound smarter. Citing "geek" situations and never really coming up with anything unique and funny is not funny.

I don't want rain on your guys parade but this shows sucks. Made me want to throw up.

I like the show I think ok. Judas you really should check How I met your mother it's great show.

I went to a nerd college, and the show is pretty darn accurate at capturing the awkwardness of a group of nerds. Sure they take some freedoms with common nerd stereotypes, but it's allowable. They're just trying to make people laugh, not change lives.
