dual boot vista

I serched for this but maybe I didnt use the right word. Is there any way to change the system startup default operating system name from "microsoft windows vista"? Like when you boot your system it gives you the partitions to choose at the 30 second start screen.

System Specs

Control Panel \ System and Maintenance \ System \ Advanced system settings

And there tab called Advanced and there startup and recovery options. In there you should be able to change the settings.

Check out BootVistaPro, it'll manage all your boot record stuff, and it's free. I've been using it since beta and have never had an issue.
