Amplitube crashes with 3541
After installing the new 3541 Amplitube crashes upon startup - and this is both when launching it as stand-alone and from within Cubase SX3.
I get a runtime error and all I can do is click ok and it exits.
Any ideas?

Did Amplitube work for you with a previous version of kX, or with the Creative Labs driver?

Yep, it worked with a previous driver - it was an old one, I think it was 3537. I also works with the Creative driver, albeit with high latency.

Just to confirm, the above is with the same version of Amplitube on the same computer?

Yep, same version of Amplitube (2.1.2) on the same computer. All I did was upgrade to the new kX driver - which by the way is awesome, if it wasn't for this issue.

I have not seen any similar reports (and I cannot try Amplitube myself), so it would be good if someone else that uses (or has tried) Amplitube with kX 3541, could respond and let us know if they have the same problem, etc.
BTW: If you are familair with DebugView, you might try capturing any debug output from kX and Amplitube to see if it gives any clue as to what the problem is.

Allright then. Come on Amplitube users, have you tested the new kX drivers?

The new amplitube (Metal 1.0) doesn't crash, but it works "buggy" with 3541. Hmm... perhaps I should just stop bothering getting my crappy SB Live to work and buy a decent soundcard with other drivers?

it's strange how it should crash even when loaded as a VST - as VSTs do not interact directly with audio drivers at all, they rely on the host for that - try reinstalling both Cubase & Amplitube, to see if that solves the problem
