I see.. But they aren't signed drivers so I need to disable the driver signing in Vista x64 before installing them

This is my first post on these forums. I recently was given these speakers: ProMedia GMX D-5.1 which only have three inputs, 1 optical, 1 coax and 1 stereo RCA. I have an X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS soundcard and of course I thought at first I would be able to output 5.1 sound through the optical out (using the creative dongle thing) and of course I later found out that you can't do this with the Creative Cards.
I am sorry if I sound like a complete noob ( I am in terms of the PC audio world), but does this announcement mean that soon, thanks to Robert McClelland, we will be able to output 5.1 Dolby Digital through the optical/coax output in our Creative cards? Or will this still be impossible to do on Creative cards?

Oh I see. You mean the new driver will be able to decode Dolby signal via the SPDIF IN port (I think). Do you think that we will ever be able to get Dolby Digital Live like Daniel_k did but never released it?
