i'm a screw up
Sorry to be such a screw up but I must have read dell's website wrong. It was late when I was researching this problem. I actually have the xtremeMusic card and running Vista ultimate and system shows as x86 system but person that installed this O/S said that it was x64 OS. The card works on Vista Business and XP 64. I hope this helps but tried the x64 drivers from creative as well and still receiving supported device not detected.

something new
Just to let everyone know that my problem is with the chipset drivers. The chipset drivers will not install for some reason. I am working on attempting to install the chipset drivers on vista business x64 but the xp 64 will not accept them for some reason even though intel says that they are compatible with all OSes. The installer progresses fine and says install successful but it does not ask me to reboot and it does not continue when I reboot even though it does not ask me. Many of the hardware components say no driver installed. I am unable to find any info about this on any other site so I'm just letting you know what I have going on since I have already posted here. I know that this is the problem now and any info would rock!

I hope you have some info for me because I tried to just get the driver installed via device manager and I must not be pointing to the proper location because system will not pick up any of the files. I would like to have some sound so please help!

I installed the 2008 Suite, then updated to 4.09 from Device Manager. Should I do the same with 4.10, or install the whole package? I've got an Audigy Platinum eX.
By the way, you're missing the period in your filename. It's got no file extension.

Thank you, much appreciated!!! BUT...are you sure that this is
the same file that maggreg posted? Because it's not the same size as in official
2.15.0006 driver...and from what I learned from maggreg posts is that he HEX edited original ctp046aw.dat file to enable hidden Decoder option. I was hoping to learn what was changed by comparing two files, original and modded, to be able to do modifications by myself...

?? Can't be the same size. I just redownloaded SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_15_0006.exe file from Creative and ctp046aw.dat file in this archive (it is self extracting zip so I can look inside archive without installing it..) is dated 20.02.2008 and file size 276330 bytes... And the one I got from you (thanks again..) is dated 25.02.2008 filesize 274070 bytes. Maybe there are newer beta drivers that I don't know of?
Regards
