Hi,
I had the same issue and just did a Google search to see. I didn't find an answer, but I got it to work.
Download the Windows XP driver from ATI's website at
Drivers & Software. Run the file on your Server 2008 computer so that it can extract the files. If you actually run the install it will fail.
Here are the steps I followed after the files were extracted:
- Open up Server Manager
- Click Diagnostics
- Click Device Manager
- Right-click on the Standard VGA Display Driver (or whatever the video card shows up as)
- Click Update Driver Software
- Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
- Select "Let me pick form a list of device drivers on my computer"
- Click Have Disk
- Click Browse
- Browse to the folder that the files were extracted to, then go into ..\Driver\2KXP_INF
- Click Open, then OK
- Select the 9250 Series
- Then just follow the wizard to the end
This worked perfect for me and didn't even require a reboot.
BTW I am using the 32 Bit version of Windows Server 2008.
